9/5/2025 -9/7/2025 | Annual Homestead Harvest DaysThis year (2025) Highland Illinois will host its 37th annual Homestead Harvest Days festival! Mark your calendars for the first weekend of September (Friday the 5th, Saturday the 6th, and Sunday the 8th)! As with the preceding years, this year’s fest will be 20 acres of fun & history featuring vintage steam and fire engines, horses, plowing, live music, a living history area, food, crafts and flea market, tours of Latzer Homestead, activities for children (like a petting zoo and a corn box), silent auction – fun, fun, fun for the whole family! Artists Creating Art on the Streets: Street Art Fest attendees will stroll the streets and watch as talented artists create artwork of amazing color, depth and complexity - with chalk! The Street Art competition will be judged at 4pm and winners will be announced at 6pm Entertainment: Sponsored by Big R Farm & Home and the Highland Jaycees Local dance/cheer studios will take the stage and perform. Live music from local bands will fill the air! Food & Drink: Brats, burgers, hot dogs, bbq, nachos, ice cream, sno cones, funnel cakes, and MORE will be available for purchase! Makers Market: The Makers Market will include hand-crafted items by local artisans: soy candles and wax melts, macrame, pottery, glitter tumblers, acrylic wine glasses, handmade jewelry, custom hats, holiday decor and MORE! Kids Korner Activities: Sponsored by the Highland Optimist Club and organized by the Highland Civic Woman's Club Kids will have their own special "Kreative Kids Korner" at this family-friendly event where they will have the chance to make their own works of art, play in a bounce house, and enjoy some imaginative fun and games!

Whether you're grieving the loss of a loved one or supporting someone who is, our GriefShare group offers comfort, understanding, and hope. The group will meet on Mondays starting September 22, from 6-8 pm. The group will convene weekly at the Parsonage located at 2520 Poplar Street (look for signage). This 13-week session includes an additional meeting in November titled “Surviving the Holidays”. To register, please contact the church office at 618-654-7549.
