3/25/2023 -3/26/2023 | Spring Concert: The Heartland Community Chorus invites you to a “Celtic Celebration!” Enjoy traditional Irish folk music in wonderful choral arrangements. The singers will be joined by a fiddle, pennywhistle, bodhran (Irish drum), and additional percussion instruments. In addition to folk songs, there will also be choral settings of poems by William Butler Yeats, the Irish poet who is one of the foremost figures in twentieth century literature. This concert is part of the celebration of the tenth season of the chorus. There will be two performances of the program, both at St. Paul Church, 1411 Main Street in Highland, IL. The first is on Saturday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m., and the second on Sunday, March 26 at 3:00 p.m. Tickets for the concert are $15 (16 and under are free) and are available from any chorus member, or use your credit card to purchase tickets on the website: heartlandcommunitychorus.org. more info... |
