Hot Chocolate Walk For Wishes® Supports Life-Changing Experiences for Local Children
Make-A-Wish Illinois.Volunteers Host Family-Friendly Walk & Fundraiser
Make-A-Wish volunteers, supporters, wish families, and community members will come together to celebrate wish children and the holiday spirit as we come together in support of Make-A-Wish Illinois. The Hot Chocolate Walk for Wishes is a family-friendly event benefiting Make-A-Wish Illinois and its mission to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. This inspiring celebration of hope features a scavenger hunt for children under 5, hot chocolate, holiday displays, and heartfelt stories about the power of wishes in helping children cope with the traumatic stress of a critical illness.

The Heartland Community Chorus, is celebrating its 10th season and will present its annual Christmas Concert with performances at 7:30 pm Saturday, December 10 and 3:00 pm Sunday, December 11 at the newly renovated St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland. The 40-member chorus is directed by Luanne Murphy and features singers from 10 communities in the Metro East. Our Christmas concert will include traditional Christmas favorites as well as nontraditional numbers and will feature a brass quintet, flautist, percussion and two pieces with four-hand piano.
