Holiday Crafty Saturday at Latzer

  Saturday, December 7 from 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m., we will be making cinnamon ornaments and candy cane slime mixed with holiday stories.  

 

Gingerbread House Making

On December 12 at 6:00pm, children ages 0-12 are welcome to create and design their very own gingerbread houses. All materials are provided free of charge while our supplies last.  Each child should be accompanied by an adult. Santa will be our special guest of honor.  

 

Christmas Sing-Along w/ Colleen Baker

  On Thursday, December 19, Colleen Baker, Highland Primary music teacher, will be leading a 

Christmas Sing-Along at Latzer Library! Hot chocolate and cookies will be served afterwards.

 

Afternoon Reindeer Games

 On Monday, December 23, Latzer Library would like to invite school age kids to Afternoon Reindeer Games! These Minute to Win It games begin at 2:00 p.m. during the holiday break from school. 

 

Book Club meets on the 4th Thursday of each month from January through October.

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is encouraging all eligible adults to add a lung cancer CT scan to their November to-do list since this month is also Lung Cancer Awareness Month. A lung cancer screening can detect nodules or spots on a lung, which may be an early indicator of lung cancer.

HACSM Christmas Kettles

Bell Ringers NEEDED!

 

HACSM partners with the Salvation Army ringing the bells on Fridays and Saturdays December 6-21st at both Walmart doors and Trubuy. The shifts are one or two hours long and we recommend that two people work together at each door. HACSM is hoping that some of the Chamber members and their employees will be able to help us out.
85% of all monies collected through this campaign stay at HACSM in Highland.
Please respond to us and let us know if your business can help us out. Please call the HACSM office at 618-654-9295 Monday-Thursday 8:30-12:30 pm and ask for Susan or Diane or email at hacsm@hometel.com.

Our basketball coverage begins with the Highland Lady Bulldogs on the road against Central Community High on Wednesday, November 27.

First coverage of Highland Boys Basketball will be Tuesday, December 3 against Belleville East High School.

The Highland Lady Bulldogs Basketball season kicks off this week at the Pana tournament! Highland Boys Basketcall begin their season next week at the Alton tournament.

SIUE Athletics Winter Toy Drive at First Community Arena Partnering with Collinsville Food Pantry

Friday, Nov 29 - 6 PM Men’s Basketball

A donation of a new unwrapped toy in original packaging at any of the above game dates will receive a ticket voucher good for admission to any future SIUE Basketball game during the 2024-25 season

Collinsville Food Pantry is seeking to support 200 families with approximately 400 youth.
Securing donations for youth 10-14 is the highest need.
