Illinois Family Reading Night
November 21 at 6:00 pm All children in grades Pre-K through Grade 5 are welcome to attend our special event with our guest performer Mike Anderson, The Dulcimer Guy. He is an acclaimed world storyteller and musician who can play many unique instruments. He is also known for several of the sounds you hear in the movie, Toy Story.
Holiday Crafty Saturday at Latzer Saturday, December 7 from 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m., we will be making cinnamon ornaments and candy cane slime mixed with holiday stories. Gingerbread House Making On December 12 at 6:00pm, children ages 0-12 are welcome to create and design their very own gingerbread houses. All materials are provided free of charge while our supplies last. Each child should be accompanied by an adult. Santa will be our special guest of honor.
Christmas Sing-Along w/ Colleen Baker On Thursday, December 19, Colleen Baker, Highland Primary music teacher, will be leading a Christmas Sing-Along at Latzer Library! Hot chocolate and cookies will be served afterwards. Afternoon Reindeer Games On Monday, December 23, Latzer Library would like to invite school age kids to Afternoon Reindeer Games! These Minute to Win It games begin at 2:00 p.m. during the holiday break from school. Book Club meets on the 4th Thursday of each month from January through October. |

| Tourism Attractions Grant and Tourism Private Sector Grant
Governor JB Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) announced $2.3 million in tourism funding through two grant programs, the Tourism Attractions Grant Program ($1.7 million) and the Tourism Private Sector Grant Program ($600,000). Eligible entities can apply for grants to develop and improve new and existing tourism attractions through the Tourism Attractions Grant Program as well as grants to support and attract events and festivals through the Tourism Private Sector Grant Program in an effort to boost tourism across the state and welcome more visitors.

HACSM partners with the Salvation Army ringing the bells on Fridays and Saturdays December 6-21st at both Walmart doors and Trubuy. The shifts are one or two hours long and we recommend that two people work together at each door. HACSM is hoping that some of the Chamber members and their employees will be able to help us out. 85% of all monies collected through this campaign stay at HACSM in Highland.

Sunday, Nov 24 - 1 PM Wrestling Friday, Nov 29 - 6 PM Men’s Basketball
A donation of a new unwrapped toy in original packaging at any of the above game dates will receive a ticket voucher good for admission to any future SIUE Basketball game during the 2024-25 season Collinsville Food Pantry is seeking to support 200 families with approximately 400 youth. Securing donations for youth 10-14 is the highest need.
